Plastic Wet Floor Signs, Carton of 10
$150.00
Folding A-frame wet floor signs in ABS plastic, sold in cartons of 10. Enough to put a sign on every cleaning trolley and cover every mopped section at once, in safety yellow or black.
Description
A wet floor sign only works if it is where the wet floor is. On most sites the problem is not the quality of the sign, it is the count: one sign at the front entrance, while the cleaner is mopping a corridor on level three and a spill is sitting unmarked by the café.
These signs are sold in cartons of 10 so there are enough to go around. Put one on every cleaning trolley, keep a few at reception for spills, and still have spares for a wet day when several entrances need marking at the same time.
What you get
- 10 folding A-frame signs per carton
- ABS plastic construction, light enough to carry one-handed
- Moulded carry handle at the top of the frame
- CAUTION / WET FLOOR / SLIPPERY WHEN WET wording with a slipping figure pictogram
- Choice of safety yellow or black
Yellow or black?
Safety yellow is the colour people already read as a hazard warning, so it is the default for back-of-house, cleaning rounds, car parks and anywhere visibility comes first. Black carries the same yellow warning panel on a darker frame and sits better in hotel lobbies, retail floors and fit-outs where a bright yellow frame looks out of place. Both are the same sign at the same price.
Why the number of signs matters
Under WHS law the question after a slip is whether the hazard was foreseeable and whether reasonable steps were taken to control it. A mopped floor is about as foreseeable as hazards get. If the only sign on site was in use somewhere else, the floor that caused the fall was unmarked, and that is hard to defend. Having a sign within reach of every cleaner and every spill point closes that gap cheaply.
Where these fit
- Contract cleaners and in-house janitorial teams, one per trolley
- Schools, universities and childcare centres
- Warehouses, loading docks and amenities blocks
- Shopping centres and supermarkets for spill response
- Events, markets and temporary venues
Plastic or stainless steel?
The plastic sign is the working sign: light, easy to fold flat on a trolley and inexpensive enough to replace when one gets damaged. For a main entrance or a lobby that has to look the part all day, the Stainless Steel Wet Floor Sign is heavier and more stable. Many sites use both, stainless at the front door and plastic everywhere the cleaning happens. For guidance on choosing and placing signs, see our wet floor sign guide.
